MOD Public Health Foundation also known as "MOD" is a grass root Non-Government Organisation (NGO) registered in Uganda (Reg: INDPooo4614NB), with headquarters on Plot 79, Bukoba Road, Near Gaz, Masaka City, Uganda. The  organisation was founded 07th July 2021  with the mandate to operate country wide. MOD Public Health Foundation, a grassroots community based organisation (CBO) builds on the History of the mother Company The Men of Destiny Public Health Consultants that was founded as a socio-enterprise, We have engaged in various health promotion programme design and implementation, advocacy, policy formulation, review meetings in several parts of Uganda. There lessons we leant for instance is the need for an organisation promoting the principles of public health. Thus, the MOD Public Health Foundation also forms the Fiscal Agency the Public Health Steering Team Uganda (PHSTU). Through the PHSTU, we advance Adaptive Public Health Framework Solutions; integrating Climate Change Countermeasures; UHC; Pandemic resilience; end to TB, HIV & Malaria by 2030. At the same time MODPHF advances prevention of diseases, prolonging of Life and Promoting of Health. We have innovated, tested and iterated such models like the Lifespan/Life-skills/ Sexual Reproductive Health Talks (LILISETs).

We are experts in the field of Maternal and Child Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), HIV and AIDs and skilling for Socio-Economic Strengthening. MOD envisions healthier communities accessing low-cost emerging public health innovations and solutions” with a mission To achieve universal health care coverage in under-served communities and sub-populations through accelerating optimal translation, uptake, and impact of new public health knowledge and practices”.

The Organisation has seven years of experience in delivering integrated services to prevent diseases, prolong life and promote health.  MOD Public Health Foundation has translated the mission and spirit of PEPFAR/CDC implementing Partners (IPs) of the HIV Epidemic Control programmes by enhancing implementation of DREAMS program for 50,000 Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) in 7 districts of Greater Masaka and Mubende region between 2017-2020. This Girls empowerment programmes were implemented in collaboration with Rakai Health Sciences Program and Mildmay Uganda.

In Collaboration with MOH/UVRI the organisation has engaged into opportunities to assess and report Early Warning Indicators for HIV Drug Resistance; enshrined Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and catalyzed the roll out of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) interventions in the Greater Masaka and Mubende Region. For instance, between 2017-2023, in collaboration with local CBOs, VHTs,  RHSP, Mildmay Uganda  and PEPFAR Small Grants, the Organisation provided quality VMMC surgeries to 5691 eligible men 15 years and above in the Masaka region (2950) and Mubende Region (2741).

The Organization has experience in community organizing, providing soft skills training in health and business, and Village Health Teams (VHTs) from hard-to-reach rural areas. We have pioneered and rolled out such principles like Communities of Practice (COP); Community Systems Strengthening (CSS); Communities of Practice (COP); and Public-Private Mix (PPM) to empower communities to establish themselves as resilient safe spaces. The Organization uses Systems and Design thinking to develop qualitative and quantitative stories rooted in resilience out of the grassroots communities whose outcomes can be used to inform development work, and HIV/TB/Malaria prevention and regularly engage in strengthening the capacity of local and rural-based CBOs in Uganda to own knowledge and skills to keep the traction toward the 2030 SDGs.

Through a combination of networking and volunteering we continue to advocate and campaign for social-economic and self-sustenance. We are to link programme participants to programmes such as: Vocational/Technical Institutes, Emyooga, Parish Development Model (PDM) water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects (WASH), Climatic Smart Actions (CSA), Health Promotion education campaigns and establishment of managed Kitchen gardening. All our projects models have a direct connection to community structures such local government including Sub County chiefs, VHTs, Health inspectors, Parish chiefs, Traditional and Local leaders Population-Based Structures.
